Irman Gusman (born 11 February 1962) is an Indonesian statesman and businessman. He is the current chairman of the Regional Representative Council (''DPD'') of Indonesia〔("DPD Speaker Irman Gusman Attends Mikta Meeting in S. Korea" in Jakarta Globe )〕 for a second term (2014–2019), thus becoming the first Indonesian parliamentary leader to be elected for two consecutive terms. This has earned him the nickname ''Pejuang daerah'' (lit. "Regional warrior", with "regional" as in the Regional Representative Council). ==Early life== Irman Gusman was born in Padang Panjang, West Sumatra on 11 February 1962 to Gusman Gaus and Janimar Kamili. His father was rector of the Muhammadiyah University of West Sumatra, while his mother was the daughter of gold traders. Gusman completed his undergraduate education at the Faculty of Economics of the Christian University of Indonesia (''UKI''), where he was chairman of the Student Senate. He subsequently obtained a Master of Business Administration at the Graduate School of Business of the University of Bridgeport. Upon his return from the United States, Irman Gusman became more active in economic and social fields. Thanks to him, the Gusman family company thrived. Gusman's greater awareness of the need for property rights and interests is thought to come from being raised in a pluralist family. His father, Gusman Gaus is one of the leaders of the Islamic Muhammadiyah movement in West Sumatra. Despite this, Gusman Gaus did not hesitate to send Irman Gusman to a Christian university. It suggests that from the beginning, the Gusman family teaches its children to recognise and appreciate differences. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Irman Gusman」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
